The lockdown of 2020 started here in the UK on March 23rd and almost immediately saw people decorating their windows with beautiful drawings of rainbows, not only something for children to spot on their daily walks, but as a positive sign that after a storm comes a rainbow.
Wanting to join in and help spread that positivity, I created a Pokemon themed rainbow for my then 7 year old autistic son, unsure that a plain rainbow would hold his interest.
After sharing this with others, I was flooded with requests for different themes and that's when I created the Chase the Rainbow Resources Facebook page.
I went onto designing and illustrating original printables covering indoor and outdoor activities, stationery and gifts with a focus on mental health and wellbeing for children and families.

Hello! My name's Hannah and I live in Glasgow, UK.
I've been a full time mother ever since my first child arrived in 2013, the plan had always been to return to work when he started nursery, however it became clear early on that he was a little different.
He was known as the "sensitive one" in our social circle, and as time went on we came to realise that he was autistic and struggling with severe anxiety.
I continued to stay at home as a full time mother and carer, learning and educating myself on autism and how to best support my son.
We welcomed our daughter in 2019, our son adores her and is a fantastic big brother!
Being a hobby artist since a teenager, I had hopes of turning it into a career one day. I studied Multimedia at college and went on to an Animation Degree at University but never had the passion for it like I did illustration.
Prior to Chase the Rainbow Resources, I've had experience working with the NHS Public Health team alongside children and young people with a focus on mental wellbeing and volunteered with the Agape Wellbeing charity leading a ladies group and illustrating advertisements.
A combination of my past experiences, love for art and the neurodivergent community as well as the importance of mental health have fuelled my passion for creating these resources.
If I achieve anything from Chase the Rainbow Resources, I hope it's bringing joy to little ones, promoting inclusiveness of neurodevelopmental conditions (such as ASD, ADHD and others) and helping parents achieve some calm within their household.
